A simple rapid and sensitive method for detecting gold was described. It is based on the adsorption of gold with polyacrylamide to form a colou- red spot in the presence of TMK reagent. The intensity of the colour is directly proportional to the concentration of gold over the range of 0.1- 5.0 µg.
