Abstract:Caidian area in the west of Wuhan is rich in geothermal resources. Its heat source is mainly the heat conduction in the earth, and the main hot water reservoir is Paleozoic carbonate rock. In the central urban area of Wuhan, various geophysical exploration methods are limited, and geothermal exploration only uses early oil exploration and hydrological data. According to the early exploration results of Jianghan Oilfield, combined with the Suohe 1 geothermal well successfully drilled in April 2021, it is analyzed that the thermal and water storage structure in Caidian area is mainly anticlinal structure, and the thermal and water transmission channel is mainly fault. The main controlling factors of geothermal resources in Caidian area are faults and Paleozoic carbonate karst reservoirs, and the karst reservoirs are moderately buried, so there is a good prospect of geothermal resources development. The favorable exploration target of geothermal resources in Caidian area is various anticlinal structures associated with deep and large faults.
